Description

We supply AB Grade kiln-dried timber with an average moisture content of 18%, meeting or exceeding Class 2/3 standards of BS1186-3:1990—commonly regarded as suitable for cladding and decking. This quality surpasses the lower grades (e.g. 5th Grade, Saw Falling S/F I–IV) often found at general timber merchants.

Knots are a natural feature of this grade and should not be viewed as defects. Timber varies in appearance, and each board is unique. Regular cleaning—at least once a year—is recommended to reduce slip risk from debris build-up, with more frequent care in low-runoff areas. We advise ordering 10% extra to allow for trimming and cuts. For help meeting specifications like NBS H21, BS8605, or BS1186-3, our Timber Focus team is here to assist, including CE marking to BS EN 14915:2013.

This timber is FSC certified and Timber Focus approved. PEFC-certified options and custom colours are available on request.
