Dragonwood external cladding

How much to order

Measure each wall, subtract windows and doors, and divide the area by the cover width of one board multiplied by its length. Add 10% for waste, and a little more for diagonal layouts, tight corners or intricate shapes.

Fixing and ventilation

All external cladding needs a ventilated cavity. Fix boards to battens over a breather membrane, leave gaps at the top and bottom, and protect the openings with insect mesh. Use stainless steel fixings, or concealed secret fixing clips where the profile allows. Our screws, nails and accessories category covers common fixings.

Fire and finishing
