CEI-Bois appoints a new chairman

Bo Borgström is succeeded by Mikael Eliasson

At its meeting held in Jurmala ( Latvia ) on 16 th November 2005, the General Assembly of the European Confederation of Woodworking Industries, CEI-Bois, has appointed Mr Mikael Eliasson, Marketing Director of the Swedish Setra Group, as the new CEI-Bois chairman. Setra Group AB is Sweden 's largest and Europe 's third largest wood products company.

Mr Eliasson, an engineer and forester born in 1954, succeeds Mr Bo Borgström, the former CEO of Moelven and Deputy CEO of Finnforest Corp, whose mandate as a chairman had come to an end. Mr Borgström was nominated to Honorary Chairman of CEI-Bois in recognition of services rendered to the European wood products industry, in particular the introduction of the Roadmap 2010 process.

The General Assembly furthermore nominated Mr Laszlo Döry, Board member of the Austrian Constantia-ISO Holding AG and Chairman of the European Panel Federation EPF, to Vice-Chairman and Mr Roberto Tengg, Managing Director of Agrifor International Srl and Vice-President of Fedecomlegno to Member of the Board.
